Time Spent Watching Television

Despite the plethora of other entertainment and media options, Australians still spend more time with television than any other media. On average, Australians watch over three hours of television a day! The majority of their time is spent watching commercial free-to-air television.

TV consumption is on the rise. In 2010, Australians spent on average of 3 hours and 11 minutes of television a day in metro markets and 3 hours and 17 minutes in regional markets - a three-year high.
