Younger audiences have taken to a new television and social media trend which may have far reaching consequences for broadcasters and advertisers, according to a new study.
The study, commissioned by specialist digital marketing agency Digital Clarity, surveyed 1,300 UK mobile internet users under the age of 25.
The study found that 8 out of 10 people said that they used Twitter, Facebook or other mobile apps to actively comment on shows and chat with friends as they watch.
