Australia's Right to Know
Australia’s leading media organisations are warning that the country risks undermining one of its main pillars of democracy if erosions to free speech continue. Free TV has joined with News Limited, Fairfax Media, the ABC, Commercial Radio Australia and SBS in a coalition to combat the situation and run a public campaign, ‘Australia’s Right to Know’. Chairman of Free TV Australia and Chief Executive of the Seven Network, David Leckie says, “We are prepared to stand up for the right of free speech for all Australians with a strong, determined and well funded campaign.”
